We collect only aggregate, anonymous usage data to improve the product.

1. Overview

Accountdesq ("we", "us", "our") provides free, browser-based accounting tools at accountdesq.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and — most importantly — what we deliberately do not collect when you use our tools.

2. Data you enter into our tools

When you use the Invoice Generator, Profit & Loss tool, or any other calculator on Accountdesq, everything you type — business names, amounts, client details, line items — is processed entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. This data:

  • Is never transmitted to our servers
  • Is never stored in any database we operate
  • Exists only in your browser's memory while the page is open
  • Is permanently lost when you close or refresh the tab (unless you've exported a PDF/Excel file to your own device)

PDF and Excel exports are generated locally in your browser and download directly to your device — they never pass through our infrastructure.

3. Information we do collect

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics infrastructure automatically logs limited technical information for security and performance purposes:

  • Anonymous, aggregate page-view analytics (which tools are popular, not who's using them)
  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) retained briefly for abuse prevention
  • A theme preference (light/dark mode) stored locally in your browser's localStorage — never sent to us

4. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's localStorage only to remember your dark/light mode preference. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party marketing scripts. If we ever introduce optional analytics cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide a clear consent mechanism.

5. Third-party services

Our web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent) per Google's own privacy policy. No other third-party scripts run on tool pages. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party trackers on this site.

6. Children's privacy

Accountdesq is a business tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of Accountdesq after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
